Rebecca Paris

Rebecca Paris (formerly Becker) loved to draw and paint since she was a child and was particularly interested in faces. Keenly fascinated by the human experience, she was also attracted to the field of psychology. Her parents, however, convinced her to take a more practical route and study business.
Upon graduating from the University of Virginia, with a B.S. in Marketing/Management, she chose a career in advertising and marketing, a blend of business, art, and psychology. After taking some time off to be a full-time mom, Rebecca returned to her passion for art and portraiture.
Rebecca studied privately under nationally known artist, Donna Cassaro Hughes. In Atlanta, Rebecca’s career took off as a commissioned custom portrait artist, specializing in children and pets. To expand her artistic expression, she branched out to painting abstracts and landscapes. Rebecca Paris’ work combines her spirituality and her ability to express herself through her passion. She enjoys painting people, animals, abstracts, and landscapes.
In May of 2020, after living in Atlanta for 30 years, she moved to Black Mountain, NC, and now currently resides in the Gateway Mountain Community in Old Fort.
In addition to painting, she is a spiritual consultant and manages raisingthevibe.org , a non-profit that she founded in 2018. She enjoys hiking, organic gardening, and enjoying the spectacular mountain vista with family and friends.
Her work was annually displayed at the Cherokee Town Club Members’ Art Show and sold at Trinity’s “Spotlight on Art” Artists’ Market in Atlanta.
